Swedish bike model CAKE has been leaping from energy to energy – and the quantity they’ve been capable of pull collectively regardless of lockdowns, business ‘180s and the whole lot else is fairly spectacular.
From their integration into the anti-poaching scene, to a current partnership within the creation of paper-based bike bodywork, the Swedes are gunning for a cleaner, brighter bike business; and now, these leaps towards the longer term embody pulling in a number of awards.
CAKE’s web site particulars the most recent additions to the highest shelf; an ideal 500 out of 500 rating, and gold wins within the ‘product class’ for the CAKE Kalk AP, courtesy of 2022’s iF Design Awards.
As if that weren’t sufficient, CAKE’s Makka – a unit designed for fast city commuting that hits the pockets between $4200 and $5400 USD (relying on the variant) – has gained an award all by itself.
We love a model that digs a bit deeper for solutions to in the present day’s business issues; one factor’s for certain, there’s one thing so refreshing about an organization that isn’t afraid to boost your eyebrows (‘paper’ bodywork, anybody?), and concurrently resolve a respectable downside in the neighborhood (‘compostable’ bodywork, anybody?)…and all with this a lot success.
