Chase Sexton

Chase Sexton picked up his second win within the 2023 Monster Power AMA Supercross Championship Collection, benefiting from a penultimate-lap crash by chief Aaron Plessinger. Plessinger led many of the race by a large margin at Ford Area in Detroit earlier than catching his footpeg on a 90-degree right-hander, knocking his foot off the peg and ejecting him from the bike. Plessinger was unable to proceed, ending in P13.

Plessinger’s fall promoted Cooper Webb to P2 and put Eli Tomac on the rostrum. Tomac was recovering from an off-track neck damage that hampered him final week in Indianapolis.

Plessinger took off after passing holeshotter Adam Cianciarulo on lap 2. Webb, Tomac, and Justin Barcia have been battling behind Plessinger, all passing a fading Cianciarulo, who was P2 earlier than dropping again to P8. Barcia finally completed in P4, a spot forward of final week’s winner Ken Roczen who bested Christian Craig.

Cooper Webb

Warmth winner Jason Anderson was working within the prime 5 when he crashed on the finish of the whoops part. Anderson remounted to complete in P9. Brothers Justin and Josh Hill completed within the prime 10, with Justin in P7 and Josh in P10.

Aaron Plessinger

Webb extends his result in three factors over Tomac. Regardless of profitable, Sexton dropped to 17 factors behind Webb after being penalized seven factors for leaping on the crimson cross flag.
