Remix Racing Brings Groundbreaking Motorcycles & Mental Health Activation to MotoAmerica at Laguna Seca

The Remix Racing Project, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction, is bringing a first-of-its-kind “Motorcycles & Mental Health” activation to the MotoAmerica Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, July 10–12.

Founded by MotoAmerica Mission Super Hooligan rider Jeremy Taubman (#417) and co-founder Shanea Makinson, The Remix Racing Project is partnering with Roland Sands Design, MotoAmerica, and Truth Be Told Apparel to transform the MotoAmerica Fan Zone into more than just a destination for racing fans—it will become a place where life-changing conversations begin.

Jeremy Taubman is a MotoAmerica racer, licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist.

Located in the heart of the Fan Zone, the activation will feature a welcoming Brave Space Lounge, a “Take What You Need” Resource Wall, an interactive race motorcycle display, and direct access to behavioral health professionals representing leading treatment organizations from across California and beyond.

Jeremy Taubman is also a published author.

Participating organizations include First Steps Recovery, Avery Lane, Rosebay Behavioral Health, The Camp Recovery Center, Golden Gate Recovery, The Meadows, and Mental Health Connections. Fans will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about mental health and addiction treatment options, connect directly with providers, and even begin the process of accessing care for themselves or a loved one.

“Motorcycles have always brought people together,” said Jeremy Taubman, licensed clinical social worker, addiction specialist, and MotoAmerica competitor. “We’re proving they can also help save lives.”

Adding to the excitement on track, the top three finishers in each of the weekend’s two Mission Super Hooligan National Championship races will receive cash awards presented by The Remix Racing Project and Truth Be Told Apparel. Race winners will earn $1,000, second place will earn $750, and third place will get $500, creating additional incentive in one of MotoAmerica’s most competitive classes.

With tens of thousands of spectators expected to attend the event and millions more following MotoAmerica through digital and broadcast coverage, the activation represents a unique opportunity to normalize conversations about mental health and recovery within the motorcycle community.

As riders launch through Turn 1, charge down the Rahal Straight, and navigate Laguna Seca’s legendary Corkscrew, The Remix Racing Project hopes to deliver an equally powerful message throughout the paddock:

Courage isn’t only found on the racetrack—sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help.

The nonprofit’s mission is to use the excitement and visibility of motorcycle racing as a platform to reduce stigma, increase awareness, and connect people with real resources that can change—and save—lives.
