Naoe Yoshimura, the spouse of Yoshimura founder Hideo “Pops” Yoshimura, died August 5 in Suzuka, Japan. She was 98.
Naoe Yoshimura was a fixture on the racetrack for a few years supporting the racing actions of her husband, their riders, and their household.
She is survived by son Fujio Yoshimura, the longtime chief of Yoshimura R&D of America and later Yoshimura Japan; daughter Namiko Moriwaki; seven grandchildren (together with Yohei Kato, the Director of the Yoshimura SERT Motul FIM Endurance World Championship crew; Midori Moriwaki, the proprietor of the PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Workforce within the Superbike World Championship; Hideto Yoshimura, a Director with Yoshimura Japan; and Yusaku Yoshimura, who’s the present CEO/CFO of Yoshimura R&D of America); and 11 great-grandchildren.
Naoe Yoshimura was preceded in dying by “Pops” in 1995 and by daughter Yumiko, the widow of racer Shohei Kato and mom of Yohei Kato.
