Hundreds of {dollars} of sentimental boundaries had been destroyed in a fiery crash Saturday, Might 27 on the WERA Cycle Jam at Michelin Raceway Highway Atlanta.

Ilan Bental crashed in Flip 4, the esses part, at Highway Atlanta in the course of the 600ccc/C Superstock Skilled race. Robust winds then turned a small hearth on Bental’s crashed motorbike into an inferno that burned up an enormous part of tire wall, a sequence hyperlink fence, and an estimated 8-9 sections of life-saving Airfence Bike smooth boundaries.
Whereas the fireplace ended the rest of the day’s actions, Bental was comparatively unhurt based on Ivey, the fireplace was finally extinguished, and sufficient repairs had been made in a single day that WERA was capable of resume motion the next morning. (Bental will be seen at left within the photograph above, serving to pull Airfence sections away from flames.)
The price to exchange the Airfence sections is estimated to be between $23,400 and $26,000, plus delivery. The 501(c)(3) non-profit Roadracing World Motion Fund, Inc., is already elevating funds to exchange the destroyed items.
