It was a rollercoaster experience for the 2 2022 Lucas Oil Professional Motocross Championship Sequence leaders, as Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton swapped wins and the lead within the standings on the 2022 Budds Creek Nationwide.

Coming into Budds Creek with a one-point lead within the sequence, Sexton went down on the primary lap of Moto 1, placing him in P29 after the primary lap and Tomac in P3 behind Ryan Dungy and chief Ken Roczen. By lap 4, Tomac had taken the lead for good, with Sexton again in P15. Regardless of falling once more, Sexton was in a position to rebound to P7 by the top. Nevertheless, Sexton’s one-point sequence lead had was a 10-point deficit with 5 Motos remaining within the season. Jason Anderson took P2 within the moto, and Ken Roczen rounded out the rostrum.

Moto 2 was a wild affair, with 4 totally different riders main at numerous occasions, and 6 lead modifications within the first 11 laps (of 17). Dungey led the 2 opening laps, yielding to a hard-charging Roczen on lap 3. A lap later, Anderson took the lead, holding it till lap 8, when Sexton handed him. With a 2-2 day, Anderson took the general, with Tomac’s 1-5 ok for P2 general. Roczen’s 3-3 day landed him on the rostrum, simply forward of Chase Sexton’s 7-1 experience. Ryan Dungey rounded out the highest 5, going 4-4.
Justin Barcia was disqualified from Moto 2 for an incident involving defending champion Dylan Ferrandis. Ferrandis didn’t end the race.
