After being the best rider of the official Ducati Lenovo Team on Saturday, Jack Miller had a rather unlucky day today on the Losail International Circuit. Sucked into the belly of the group, from a qualifying fourth position he dropped to tenth at the end of the first lap, as he had to deal with serious electronic problems. There was nothing the Australian rider could do. He was inevitably forced to raise the white flag and pull his Desmosedici GP 22 in earlier than expected.
“I realized there was something missing in the electronics. No one expected it,” Miller began. “The bike was quite lost, I had one hundred percent power. But then at some point on the track, I began to lose a lot. Out of the last corner, everybody was passing me. I tried everything I could. Unfortunately, it was useless. I kept slipping to the back. It all seemed like a joke. Sometimes life is unfortunate. It was definitely not a great day, and there’s nothing to learn from all this. Fortunately, we know the issue. We know what happened. We’ll do our best so that it doesn’t happen in the future,” he concluded.
