Jett Lawrence completed his championship-winning rookie season within the 2023 AMA Professional Motocross Nationwide Championship Collection with double moto wins on the Ironman Nationwide. Lawrence had an ideal season, profitable all 22 motos of the 11-round sequence. It’s the primary good season since James Stewart achieved the feat in 2008. Ricky Carmichael did it twice, in 2002 and 2004, although Lawrence is the primary 450MX rookie to have an ideal season. Earlier within the day, Jett’s brother Hunter clinched the 250MX Nationwide Championship.
Lawrence led each lap of each motos at Ironman Raceway. Runner-up Chase Sexton, who went 2-2, didn’t present Lawrence a wheel in both moto. Aaron Plessinger took the ultimate general podium spot with a 5-3 day, besting Jason Anderson, who went 4-4. Dylan Ferrandis was on the moto-one podium, however crashed out within the second flip of the second moto.

Ferrandis was capable of maintain onto his runner-up spot within the 2023 AMA Professional Motocross Nationwide Championship Collection, ending 13 factors away from Plessinger. Sexton moved as much as P4 within the last sequence standings, taking the spot from Adam Cianciarulo, who was P5 for the day, with a 6-6 exhibiting.

The inaugural three-race 2023 SuperMotocross World Championship sequence will get underway on September 9 at zMAX Dragway on the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Harmony, North Carolina. Sexton goes in as the highest seed forward of Plessinger, Lawrence, Cianciarulo, and Ferrandis, with Lawrence passing Cianciarulo within the SuperMotocross qualifying standings on the Ironman Nationwide.
