Former Professional racer Gary Fisher died at his dwelling in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania on Could 17 – his 73rd birthday.

Fisher, who was initially from Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, received the 1972 Loudon Basic at Bryar Motorsport Park on a Yamaha TR3 he had by no means ridden earlier than the occasion. He additionally received the AMA Nationwide that very same weekend in New Hampshire, beating Yvon Duhamel and King Kenny Roberts, amongst others.

Fisher was the son of Professional racer and bike supplier Ed Fisher, who was additionally a Laconia Basic/Loudon Basic race winner. Ed and Gary Fisher stay the one father-and-son duo to have each received America’s oldest bike highway race.

Gary Fisher is survived by daughters Kimberly Anne Fisher, Heidi Lee Partitions, and Elizabeth Lee Fisher; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in demise by his father Ed, who handed away August 4, 2022, on the age of 97.

Based on Kimberly Rivers, a “remembrance gathering” to honor her father will likely be held later in 2023.
