Aprilia Racing takes on a new challenge in the Czech Republic.
Following a week-long break after the GP of Hungary, Aprilia Racing prepares to tackle the ninth round of the season on the historic Brno track with Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín.
Marco Bezzecchi will be approaching the GP of the Czech Republic with the goal of leaving the difficult Hungarian Sunday behind him and getting back to battling for the top spots. Jorge Martín as well, fresh from a complicated Sunday at Balaton Park, will be arriving determined to demonstrate his potential on the Czech track.
The Brno Circuit in the Czech Republic returned to the World Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Championship calendar last year. The track is 5.4 km long and comprises a total of 14 turns – 8 right-handers and 6 left-handers. Brno was also the track par excellence for Max Biaggi, Aprilia Ambassador, who took four wins here in 250cc, two wins in 500cc, one MotoGP win, and four Superbike wins, three of which were with Aprilia Racing.
Marco Bezzecchi: “I am extremely pleased to be going to Brno. It is a fantastic track where riding the RS-GP26 has a special flavour. I’m also extremely happy to see my team again. After the Sunday at Balaton, which was a bit rough on the entire team, I really want to embrace them all again and try to have a good weekend, having fun and working well.”

Jorge Martin: “Brno is a track that I like, and it is also one of the most iconic circuits of the championship. I won’t be at 100% fitness, but I’ll definitely be there mentally, and I’ll try to make sure that this is the added value I need to have a good weekend. I’ve been training a lot over the past days, and I have been working with the team to prepare for the GP, so I can’t wait to get started.”

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Get Back into Action in Brno.
After a one-week break, the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team are back in business. Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins are travelling to the Automotodrom Brno in Czechia for Round 9 on the MotoGP calendar.
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins make their way to the Automotodrom Brno for Round 9 of the MotoGP World Championship. The Grand Prix of Czechia is iconic for MotoGP riders and motorcycle fans, and this year’s event being sponsored by Monster Energy gives the teammates an extra impetus to put on a good show.
Quartararo arrives in Brno holding 15th place in the championship standings. He is hoping to get an upward trajectory going and score some solid points this weekend. The Frenchman rode three times before at the Czech track in the premier class: in 2019 and 2020, scoring seventh place in both races, and in 2025 when he secured fifth place in the Sprint and sixth place in the Race.
Rins is looking forward to returning to the Czechia round, which is beloved by many MotoGP riders. After a tough Hungarian GP outing, the Spaniard is currently in 19th place in the MotoGP classification. The number 42 stood on the Brno Moto2 podium in 2015 for a third place and in 2016 for a second place. His best MotoGP scores there are the fourth places he achieved in 2019 and 2020.
Brno has hosted motorcycle racing since 1930, when riders tackled a 29 km road circuit through the city and surrounding villages. The Czech GP first took place in 1950 and joined the World Championship from 1965 to 1982 before a circuit opened later in the 1980s. The modern Brno track debuted in 1987 and quickly became a fan favourite thanks to its atmosphere and setting. After a break from 2021 to 2024, Brno returned to the calendar last year, bringing its rich racing heritage back to MotoGP.

Fabio Quartararo: “The last two rounds were quite tricky for us, so it was good to have a short break to reset. Now we’re heading into a busy period again with a double-header and one more race before the summer break. Of course, we will work hard, like we always do. Brno is a track I like, and I’m motivated to get back to fighting for better positions.”
Alex Rins:“Mugello and Balaton Park were not easy weekends, but we had a few days to recharge and refocus. Now we start a crucial part of the season with Brno and Assen and then the Sachsenring before the summer break. The goal is clear: we want to finish this first part of the season on a stronger note. We’ll work hard from the first session there to be as competitive as possible.”
Massimo Meregalli – Team Director:“We’re going to Brno after a one-week break following two challenging race weekends at Mugello and Balaton Park. It hasn’t been an easy period, but the team has kept working hard to understand where we can improve. Now we begin an important sequence with Brno and Assen coming back-to-back, followed by the German GP before the summer break. This final stretch is key, and we are fully focused on making a strong push and collecting as much information as possible.”

Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP heads to Brno aiming to build on recent progress.
After the encouraging results achieved at Balaton, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP arrives at the historic Brno circuit looking to continue its upward trend on one of the most iconic and technically complete tracks on the calendar.
Just one week after its strongest weekend of the season so far, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP heads to the Czech Republic for the Grand Prix of Brno, one of the most historic and popular venues in the World Championship. A regular fixture on the calendar for decades, the Czech circuit is widely appreciated by riders for its combination of fast corners, flowing sections, heavy braking zones and significant elevation changes.
Brno presents a particularly interesting challenge thanks to its mixed layout, which rewards both corner speed and precision through the technical sectors while also featuring several areas where acceleration and top speed remain crucial. The circuit was resurfaced ahead of its return to the MotoGP calendar in 2025, and the evolution of the new asphalt will be an important factor for all teams this weekend.
For Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, the track offers an opportunity to continue building on the progress shown in recent races. The strengths of the Yamaha YZR-M1 in terms of chassis performance, agility and electronics could prove particularly effective through the more technical and flowing sections of the circuit, while the longer acceleration zones will once again represent a challenge.
The weekend will provide two different experiences inside the garage. Jack Miller arrives with extensive knowledge of the Brno circuit and several years of experience racing there, while for Toprak Razgatlıoğlu it will be a largely new challenge on a MotoGP bike. Both riders, however, travel to Brno encouraged by the steps forward made in recent rounds and determined to continue the positive momentum.

Jack Miller: “I‘m looking forward to Brno. It‘s a track where I‘ve had success in the past and we had a really strong race there last year. The last couple of weeks have been good. It was nice to have a short break after Balaton, focus on the physical training and get ready for this final push before the summer break. The results over the last few races have been trending in the right direction and that‘s been encouraging for all of us. The goal now is simply to keep that progression going, continue improving and make the most of what should be another important weekend for us.”
Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Brno will be another important learning weekend for me. I raced here a long time ago, but this will be my first time at the circuit on a MotoGP bike, so it will feel almost like a new track. Every circuit teaches me something new about the MotoGP bike and this weekend will be another opportunity to improve my understanding, especially in the fast corners and through the elevation changes that make Brno so unique. The positive thing is that we have made good progress in the last few races and I feel more comfortable with the bike than I did earlier in the season. That gives me confidence going into another new challenge. The target is to improve session by session, learn as much as possible and arrive on Sunday stronger than we are on Friday. If we can do that, the result will come naturally.”
Gino Borsoi – Team Director: “Brno is a fantastic circuit and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire MotoGP calendar. It‘s a layout that challenges every aspect of the package and always produces interesting racing. Engine performance will remain an important factor here, particularly on some of the longer acceleration sections, but thanks to the progress we have made with the chassis and electronics we arrive in a much better position than we were at the beginning of the season. The most encouraging aspect is that over the last few races we have consistently moved closer to the points and reduced the gap to the riders fighting around the top ten. That trend is more important than any single result. Brno will be another useful benchmark to measure how much the package has improved compared to the start of the year. We know there is still work to do, but the direction Yamaha has taken is the right one and we are confident we can continue moving forward.”

The Brno Challenge: the engines of the Ducati Lenovo Team fire up in Czech Republic.
It is new race week for the Ducati Lenovo Team, heading to Czech Republic for the ninth Round of the 2026 season, the first of two consecutive races. The MotoGP paddock stops at the historic and fascinating Brno circuit, a track that has always been in the hearts of fans and is highly appreciated by riders for its technical layout and its iconic uphill final sector.
The Desmosedici GP has already triumphed on four occasions on this track: Loris Capirossi opened the winning streak in 2006, followed by Casey Stoner in 2007, up to Andrea Dovizioso in 2018 and the most recent victory secured by Marc Márquez in 2025.
Marc Márquez returns at work after dominating the last round in Hungary with pole position, a victory in the Sprint, and a triumph in Sunday’s race. On a track that evokes great memories and suits his style well, Marc wants to stay in the fight with the strongest guys.
Ever more motivated by recent results and a true admirer of the Czech track, Pecco Bagnaia arrives in Brno with a haul of three consecutive podiums. The objective is to confirm his position among the most solid and consistent in terms of performance, and to close the gap.

Marc Márquez #93 Ducati Lenovo Team: “The feelings in Hungary were incredible: a full result with pole, Sprint, and Sunday’s race. The layout of the Balaton circuit definitely favored us, a track that is not too physically demanding. Here in Brno, the situation will be different: it’s a beautiful track that I like a lot and where I have already won with Ducati in the past, but it’s also really tough and demanding. We will approach the weekend step by step, to find our 100% every single day”.
Francesco Bagnaia #63 Ducati Lenovo Team: “We arrive in Brno in a positive moment, with three consecutive podiums that give us a great boost. I like the track very much; it has a fantastic layout, just like the Assen track which will host the next GP right after this weekend. These are two tracks that, by characteristics, are among my absolute favorites. I am convinced that I can make the most of the steps forward made with the Desmosedici GP on these two circuits; the goal is to confirm the good feelings and be consistent”.
