For reference, that is the sixth season that Triumph has given their three-cylinder hearts to the Moto2 championship, and Nick Bloor, Chief Government, is worked up to see that the model’s exhausting work is acknowledged on such a stage:

It’s completely improbable that we’ve got been recognised for our contribution to what is without doubt one of the finest world motorbike sporting occasions – Moto2.

Why Triumph’s engines are well-loved

In line with Dan Sutherland’s protection on MCN, the love for Triumph’s engines is rooted deep within the model’s UK legacy.

Add to this the engines’ capacity to shine even in harsher circumstances – Moto2’s circuit is nothing if not harsh – and even the upcoming fear of Europe’s net-zero targets can’t cease the joy for Triumph’s contribution to Moto2.

Ben Cussons, a member of the Torrens Trophy Nominations Committee, agrees:

There’s no tolerance for failure, so [for Triumph] to take their engine there was a daring transfer, and so they’ve clearly produced a very good engine.

I went to the British Grand Prix, and also you stroll down the pit street and speak to the groups, and so they actually just like the engine, and so they actually like working with Triumph… [who has] remodeled the manufacture of bikes, and it’s a daring transfer to enter that white warmth of Moto2.”
