What do you get when you place the 700lb, 8.0-liter V10 coronary heart of a Dodge Viper GTS into the stomach of a bike?
A do-it-yourself bike that weighs 600kg with no fairings and a slew of world file titles – at the very least, that’s Alan Millyard’s expertise within the entertaining of his naturally-aspirated “muscle-cycle,” a motorcycle that, by all stories, beat its automotive counterpart at its personal pace recreation.
At present, Millyard holds the next Guinness World Document titles for his “Viper” muscle-cycle:
- “World’s Quickest Tandem Motorbike” (183.5mph / 295.31km)
- “World’s Quickest One-Mile Standing Begin Velocity Document”
- “World’s Quickest Two-Up Prime Velocity” (178.614mph)

That final file, by the best way, is the very one which Millyard thinks he and his pillion associate, Henry Cole, can beat.
“It’s good to have an ambition, and [the Viper is] greater than succesful. I had the unsuitable gearing. I geared it to 225mph at 5000rpm.
If I’d geared it for 200mph at 5000rpm, then it might’ve carried out it.”
– Alan Millyard

If you wish to see the continued efforts of those two, we’re instructed that their high-speed efforts are partially logged in sequence 12, episode 5 of The Motorcycle Present.
