I don’t know what stands out extra: The truth that Harley’s approaching their future with a pincer transfer and getting their arms soiled on each high-cc AND low-cc machines for right now’s electrical group, or the truth that their latest Serial 1 bicycle brainchild – a machine known as the Bash/MTN – is an off-roading unit that doesn’t even have suspension

Not likely, anyhow.

Piqued?

Peeved?

Downright perplexed?

Be a part of the gang.

In case you didn’t know/have been dwelling underneath a rock, Harley-Davidson’s now absolutely built-in into the electrical market. Their barely extra well-known electrical model, LiveWire, launched a current revv-ripping Avenue Tracker known as the Del Mar (to accompany the unique ‘One’), with the primary batch of 100 models promoting out in underneath 19 minutes flat

You could possibly say the American motorbike producer is doing comparatively properly for itself – although that’s with out too many peepers targeted on the volatility of the model’s shares.

Now, Harley’s leap into the land of the push-bike is pushing again, with their latest velocipede sporting some questionable specs…or lack thereof.

Jalopnik tells us that, for dressage, the Serial 1 Bash/MTN electrical off-roading bicycle has Michelin E-Wild tires, with the one suspension being “an SR Suntour NCX suspension seat the corporate says is ‘shock-absorbing and backbone saving.’”

That’s it, people.

In case you hit the bumps and jiggles, you’re getting vibration-station, 24/7 – and surprisingly, that’s sort of what Serial 1 supposed to do with this construct.

“Much less is extra,” states Serial 1’s model director on Electrek.

“That’s the promise of BASH/MTN. No fussy suspension to tune, no finicky drivetrain to regulate—simply two wheels, one gear, and one goal, to supply probably the most direct connection between you and the path.”

To place the ability play into perspective, the Bash/MTN incorporates a prepared 529-Wh detachable battery and boasts a prime velocity of 20 mph, which (relying on the way you journey it) can get you roughly 30 – 90 miles of vary.

And the cherry on prime: What is that this all going to value?

Glad you requested; the report goes on to state that “the Bash/MTN will set you again $3,995 and only one,050 examples shall be made, cut up into 525 examples for the U.S. and 525 for Europe.”

Clearly given the above, we’ll be excited to scrutinize the primary particular person to plonk their posterior in place and try an ‘off-roading’ journey with the Bash/MTN.
